Siemens Healthineers has announced the expansion of manufacturing footprint in India with the local production of the Artis one Edition X angiography system at company’s Bengaluru factory.
The system will be manufactured alongside the facility’s existing portfolio of mobile C-arms, CT scanners, MRI systems, and digital radiography X-ray systems, further strengthening the company’s commitment to the Make in India initiative and to advancing access to innovative healthcare technologies across the country.
With its advanced capabilities, Artis One Edition X empowers clinicians with enhanced imaging and workflow efficiency while supporting improved patient outcomes. It helps interventionalists perform procedures that restore blood flow and treat blockages in arteries and veins, thereby benefitting patients with conditions such as heart disease, kidney failure, and irregular heart rhythms.
Additionally, India's cath lab density currently stands at just 1.5 to 1.75 per million people, underscoring the urgent need for accessible cardiac care infrastructure. This growing demand is evident in the widespread adoption of angiography systems across metropolitan hubs and tier 2/3 cities.
