MedTech Day 2026 facilitated direct dialogue between founders and key decision-makers

The NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), the startup incubator at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bengaluru, organised MedTech Day 2026 in partnership with DailyRounds, bringing together healthcare innovators, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to accelerate India’s growing medtech ecosystem.

The event highlighted how Indian startups are developing next-generation healthcare technologies, from AI-driven diagnostic platforms that significantly reduce analysis time to multi-functional surgical instruments designed and manufactured domestically. These innovations aim to improve access, affordability, and scalability in healthcare while positioning India as a global hub for medical technology.

Startups incubated under NSRCEL’s Healthcare Incubation Program showcased solutions that are rapidly moving from concept to proof-of-concept and market-ready products. Through its healthcare-focused incubation initiatives, NSRCEL supports founders by helping them navigate regulatory pathways, prepare for funding, access markets, and scale globally.

MedTech Day 2026 facilitated direct dialogue between founders and key decision-makers, including hospital innovation heads, healthcare leaders, policymakers, and investors. Notable attendees included Varun Dubey, Founder and CEO of Superhealth; Manisha Kumar, COO – South Region at HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG); and Chaitanya Sarawate, President and CEO – India & South Asia at GE Healthcare and Managing Director of Wipro GE Healthcare.

The programme included startup showcases, venture pitches, and ecosystem roundtables focusing on regulatory readiness, procurement pathways, pilot deployments, and commercialisation strategies. Participating startups represented diverse sectors such as medical devices, digital health, AI-powered diagnostics, digital therapeutics, and advanced drug delivery systems.

Speaking at the event, Anand Sri Ganesh, CEO of NSRCEL, said that India’s healthcare innovation ecosystem is entering a pivotal phase, with startups building breakthrough technologies while addressing core challenges around access, affordability, and scalability. Platforms such as MedTech Day, he noted, help startups move faster from lab development to real-world healthcare impact.

Dr Arjun A L, Senior Vice President at DailyRounds, said that the initiative created an enriching platform for healthcare founders by bringing together voices from medical device companies, hospitals, incubators, academia, and successful startups. He added that the event enabled founders to learn from shared experiences, collaborate, and build meaningful industry connections.

By convening innovators and stakeholders across the healthcare value chain, MedTech Day 2026 reinforced NSRCEL’s role in nurturing homegrown medtech solutions with global potential.
